HAVE A BLESSED ADVENT!

Advent is a time of remembering, of anticipating, of hoping, of praying, of waiting. It is a time focused on the reign of God and grounded in the Biblical vision of justice and shalom. It is a time of preparing our hearts and our lives, our thinking and our doing, to receive the One who comes in the name of our God--the "King of kings" and "Prince of Peace" upon whose shoulders God shall place and has placed God's government.

Advent is the season to prepare for our Lord and Savior, our Leader and Liberator--the One who would come, has come and will come again.

Remembering, anticipating, hoping, praying, and waiting--yet worshipping and witnessing and doing justice while we wait--let us individually and collectively prepare for this coming. . . .
