'OUR BISHOP' ON SABBATICAL

Our beloved regional minister, the Rev. Lari Grubbs, is currently on a much-deserved sabbatical that began January 1st (New Year's Day) and will continue until April 1st. During that time, he will be relaxing, studying, and taking time to research programs, structures, and best practices in other regions. Let us join together in prayer for his continued health and the success of his research, and also pray that God might return him to us spiritually renewed, physically reinvigorated, and ready to lead us forward in our common work as disciples of Christ in the Capital Area.

While Lari is on Sabbatical, we are blessed to have as our Acting Regional Minister the Rev. Dr. Marshall Dunn. As many of you know, Marshall recently served as Temporary Associate General Minister and Vice-President of our denomination, and before that served for 31 years as the Senior Pastor of University Christian Church in Hyattsville, Maryland. According to Rev. Dunn, "I want to do my very best for the regional church I love. It has done so much for me through the years and it's my privilege now to give something back."
