There are two chances to see our General Minister and President, the Rev. Dr. Sharon Watkins, within the next week.

The first is TONIGHT on CNN at 7 PM, where she will be one of the panelists posing questions to the top three Democratic presidential candidates: Clinton, Edwards and Obama.

The second is NEXT MONDAY at 6 PM at the Washington National Cathedral, where Watkins will be a participant in an Interfaith Convocation which is part of Bread for the World's national conference, "Sowing Seeds: Growing a Movement.

Also: our own Dr. Delores Carpenter, senior pastor of Michigan Park Christian Church, will be the main speaker at the beginning of the Bread for the World conference. On Saturday, June 9, at American University, Dr. Carpenter will be sharing Biblically grounded theological and ethical views on the issue of hunger.

Disciples are encouraged to watch the candidate's forum tonight on CNN, to attend the Interfaith Convocation (free) and hear Dr. Carpenter speak (registration required). More details below.
