Maryland's Death Penalty Commission Begins Its Work

Earlier this year, the Maryland General Assembly created a 23-member commission to study all aspects of capital punishment in the state and to report on its findings and recommendations by December 15. The Commission was officially appointed on today and will hold a series of public hearings in July, August and September.
